Setting: The Bridge

It was mid afternoon on Galadon XII. Nouri stared at the view screen. It was time to leave. He pressed the button on his chair and opened the log recorder.

 

Captain's Log

Stardate: 200106.30

Kematsopoulos here. We have dropped off our Galadonese party on Galadon XII. We are proceeding to Tureth at warp four. This will complete our mission to transport the remaining diplomats home. I only wish that the negotiations would have been successful. I am afraid that billions will die in this conflict. Kematsopoulos out.

He had other wishes and regrets but he did not articulate them.

Mr. Tanaka," the Captain said.

"Yes, sir?" the Ensign replied.

"Set a course for Tureth, warp factor four," the Captain ordered.

"Aye, sir" said the helmsman as he swiftly executed the order.

The CO turned to face his XO.

"You have the Conn Mr. Cline," he said

"Aye sir," replied CDR Cline.

And with that the Captain returned to his room and his thoughts of the Empress.
